Richard Stone is a designer, draftsman & maker with over thirty-five years experience in the field of building design and construction works documentation.
The Richard Stone Design practice formally commenced in 1990 as a part-time venture whilst also working for a prominent architectural & urban design firm in Sydney NSW. From a single, small residential design commission the practice developed to become a full-time concern by 1998 and has continued with steady work over the ensuing years. Many projects have also been carried out in collaboration with other designers and architects. With a relocation to Lismore NSW in 2002, the practice is now well established on the North Coast and has created successful, long term relationships with many clients and consultants. The RSD studio produces all technical drawings in CAD format, often complemented by hand drawn development sketches or computer generated 3D images depending on the scope of the project. Mapping imagery is produced using a mixture of Six Maps, Google Earth, CAD and other mapping software. RSD offers design services for commercial, industrial and public buildings, with residential projects being considered under special circumstances. The practice may be engaged from the sketch design stage through to detailed construction documentation and tender. Where required, an integrated master plan may also be provided for staged developments. We work regularly with local surveyors, town planners, engineers and builders such that a suitable team can be recommended for any particular project and budget. The provision of project graphics, furniture design, special artwork, website design, mapping and photography extends the range of service components for this multi-disciplinary design practice. Richard Stone is also a director at Granatelli & Stone. |
